Hello There!

Moikka! Welcome to our blog!

We are a group of three mechanical engineering students from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, currently doing an Erasmus exchange at Turku University of Applied Sciences in Finland. We are Eilidh, Elise and Iain and together we are Team AURA, named after the beautiful river which flows through Turku (or after the local beer). We are in Finland to carry out our group masters project abroad. During our time here we will be attempting to simulate hydrogen deflagration using computational fluid dynamics. We are excited to work with TUAS and Elomatic on this project and hope we can learn a lot from them.

We are thrilled to finally be in Finland after all of the planning which we have done last semester. We all hope to get as much as possible out of our exchange here while completing our masters project to a high standard. We also hope we will have some time to travel and see some interesting new places while trying out some new foods and learning some Finnish along the way.

This blog aims to update any interested parties on the progression of the project as well as some fun holidays and activities which we will get up to during our exchange.
