Ice hockey is the most popular sport in Finland and, given the enthusiasm of many of the Finns we spoke to, we had to go to a game. The stadium is a little bit out of the city but still accessible with a bus pass. The Gatorade centre is quite an impressive venue with plenty of music and entertainment during gaps in play.
Unfortunately TPS had been having a terrible season and were second bottom in the league. Very few regular fans turned up to support their team as they didn't think they stood a chance. They were right. It was a close game though and we still fully enjoyed the experience.
